Last year, the National Trust for Scotland objected plans to convert the repeatedly vandalised Highlands lair into a “futuristic” home.
The cottage, which featured in the Louis Theroux documentary When Louis Met Jimmy in 2000, sits beside the A82 Fort William to Glasgow road. It was bought by the family of retail tycoon Harris Aslam, who are believed to have paid around £335,000 for the home, after it was initially purchased at auction for £212,000 by a buyer who intended to live there.
