Lancashire has a vast, rich array of talent when it comes to the acting world. And that's no different when we look at Chorley.
Since coming out of Chorley and into the acting world, Joe has gone on to play iconic roles after Corrie, with him becoming a household name through the role of Eli Dingle in Emmerdale. Between 2006 and 2010, Joe was a regular in the ITV soap as he played the wayward brother of Marlon. The Sky series follows Vinnie and his pals as they scam, scheme and steal whatever they need to survive. Many of the scams featured in the show, such as stealing prize bulls and setting up cannabis farms, mimic real events that happened when Joe was a young tearaway.
Vinnie’s battle with bipolar disorder mirrors the mental health struggles Joe faces on a daily basis, with the Chorley man very open about his experience of depression and anxiety. Fans are often left wondering how long the line really is between fact and fiction when watching the antics Vinnie and his pals on the show.
