A murder investigation into the death of man who was found in a village alleyway has now ended. , at 6am on December 10, 2022.
Toby Ridley, 26, who was local to the area, was found with serious injuries between Station Road and Butt Hill and was pronounced dead at the scene by ambulance crews. Detectives investigating the death of Mr Ridley have now announced they are no longer treating it as suspicious. A 28-year-old woman was initially arrested in connection with his death, but will face no further action, Derbyshire Police said. A file is now being prepared for the coroner to carry out an inquest.
