The Israel Defence Forces has reissued an 'urgent' call for people in northern Gaza to leave before an operation it says will 'neutralise the threat of Hamas with precision and intensity'. It comes after the heaviest night of strikes on Gaza since the conflict began.
A number of social media accounts are sharing images of leaflets reportedly dropped by Israeli forces to the north of Gaza, urging residents to evacuate south.Below is an unverified image purportedly showing one such leaflet.
It is addressed to the residents of Gaza.'The Gaza governorate has become a battlefield,' it begins. 'The shelters in the north of Gaza Strip and Gaza governorate are not safe.'Then, the part written in the black box reads: 'You must evacuate immediately and head to the areas south of Wadi Gaza.'
