The vehicle caught fire😟
On Saturday, emergency services, including police officers and firefighters, were alerted of a vehicle fire near the Currie Street entrance of the structure.
The force has confirmed that a stolen car was burning in the area, which also caused substantial damage, according to pictures taken on Sunday by local resident Arthur Morrison.The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and the investigation into the incident continues.spokesperson said: “Police received a report of the theft of a vehicle and subsequent vehicle fire on Currie Street in Glasgow around 9.20pm on Saturday, December 17.
“The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”A spokesperson from Glasgow City Council said: “It is appalling that people would treat this new community feature in such a disrespectful way and hope that the culprits are caught for the damage they have caused.”
