ITV has sparked a backlash from viewers after Good Morning Britain was removed from its TV schedule
. The programme was dropped to make way for a Women's Fifa World Cup match.
Good Morning Britain will also be affected by the changes, with the popular programme being pulled from the TV schedule on Friday due to TV broadcasting Switzerland vs the Philippines. This Morning and Loose Women also did not air on Thursday, July 20 to make way for Australia's match against The Republic of Ireland, the Express reports.
The action kicked off directly after Lorraine Kelly's show at 10:15am and will run until 1:30pm. On Monday, the Loose Women Twitter account confirmed the show's changes.It read: "As the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup kicks off this week, there will be some slight changes to our usual schedule. Here are all the details you need for this week..." @kirstyfionaaol1 fumed: "No way.""I like my sports....
Another complained: "Shouldn’t have sport on ITV1 why can’t it just go on the sports channels that’s what it’s there for. I will definitely won’t be watching the World Cup football I’d rather watch something more than that."
