Fan favourite Jacqueline Jossa has publicly addressed reports she could seen be returning permanently to EastEnders - as she refused to rule out reprising her role as Lauren Branning
Jacqueline Jossa has addressed recent reports that she would be returning to Albert Square, after the popular actress reprised her role as Lauren Branning in Eastenders as part of Dot Cotton’s funeral scenes.
Addressing the rumours once and for all on Instagram, the star wrote; “Just been inundated with people being lovely, but thinking I'm coming back to EastEnders full time, I don't know if something has been taken out of an interview or been completely made up but either way I'm just shutting down any rumours or stories.”
She then continued: “Like I have said many times and continue to say, EastEnders is the best job ever and was an honour for the eight years. Proving to be a firm fan favourite, regular viewers of the soap were sad to see her go in 2017, with several hoping that she might one day return to the soap full time.
The doting mum of two briefly returned to the soap earlier this year, alongside a number of other former cast members including Colin Russell, Barry Clark, George ‘Lofty’ Holloway, Mary ‘the punk’ Smith and Disa O’Brien as they paid tribute to East End icon Dot Cotton.
