🔴 James Cleverly downplays Russia-Ukraine peace talks, warning Putin 'still very confrontational'
Addressing Mr Putin’s indication that he is prepared to engage in, James Cleverly said he could see little reason for optimism.
“I’m not really seeing anything coming from the Russian side that gives me confidence that Vladimir Putin is entering these talks in good faith,” he told Sky News’sThe Foreign Secretary added that it is forMr Cleverly’s remarks came after President Putin said Russia may have to strike a deal with Ukraine to end its war, which is entering its 10th month.Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made similar comments on Tuesday and said the outcome of the conflict should be a “just and durable peace”.
