An owner of Maneki Ramen has said it is 'amazing' to win the award.

A ramen eatery in Worcester has been named the best Japanese restaurant of the year in the Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards.The business, originally called Lucky Cat Noodle, was in 2021 forced to change its name after a legal challenge by chef Gordon Ramsay who also had a restaurant called Lucky Cat, in London.The ceremony was held on SundayHe also said they were "very surprised" to be nominated for the awards, which were held on Sunday.

"It was a great, fun night to be had for the team and it was awesome, an awesome award," he explained.
