, before saying in a statement released on her behalf by the Spanish FA that it was a “totally spontaneous mutual gesture because of the immense joy that winning a World Cup brings”.
Calls for Mr Rubiales to resign are grower louder, after Ms Hermoso has said she ‘did not like’ the kiss and did not believe it should go unpunished She has since said she did not consent to the kiss and felt “vulnerable and a victim of an aggression”, and that such acts “should never go unpunished”. Regional leaders of Spain’s football association told its president Mr Rubiales that he should resign with immediate effect amid the row over his conduct at the World Cup.
The RFEF made the demand late on Monday after holding an emergency meeting to discuss the fate of Mr Rubiales, who has already been served with a 90-day suspension from international footballing body Fifa.
