Wildfires are causing thousand of people to evacuate the Greek island of Rhodes
Jet2 has issued an update to passengers as thousands have been evacuated from their homes in the Greek island of Rhodes.
Approximately one thousand customers who have been displaced either flew back to the UK or were moved to hotels in unaffected areas.The flight operator also operated a repatriation programme yesterday in tandem with their programme of nine scheduled flights. All flights and holidays to Rhodes remain cancelled up to and including July 30 to give customers assurance and to avoid putting further pressure on the island’s infrastructure.
