JJ CHALMERS has opened up about an 'unreal' experience as he encountered the pilot who flew him out of Afghanistan.

Posting on his Instagram earlier today, JJ explained: “This is David Ellis he just flew me out to the Tokyo for the #Paralympics.“Incredibly he flew me home, unconscious on a hospital plane, when I was Wounded in Afghanistan. Unreal!”Back in May 2011, while serving in Helmand Province, he was hit by an IED blast.JJ also shared an image of him badly injured in hospital back in 2011.
