Jodie Comer has issued a heartfelt tribute to Katarina Johnson-Thompson after her World Championship win.
The 30-year-old won gold for the first time since 2019 after amassing 6740 points in the 2023 heptathlon at the World Championships. Despite finishing second in Sunday's 800m finale, KJT's strong race ensured she reclaimed her 2019 status of World Champion and finished 20 points ahead of American Anna Hall in Budapest.
Katarina has been close friends with Jodie since they first met when they were pupils at St Julie's school in Woolton.
