BREAKING: Joe Biden leaves White House to visit UK for first overseas trip
left the White House on Wednesday morning en route to the UK for the start of the first overseas trip of his presidency.
Biden is scheduled to land at Royal Air Force Mildenhall near Suffolk at 8pm local time. He will address US Air Force personnel and their families stationed at the base. Royal Air Force Mildenhall houses the 100th Air Refueling Wing, which is the only permanent US Air Force refueling operation in Europe.
Biden will then attend a NATO summit in Belgium and meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Geneva next Wednesday, which will be the end of his trip. Asked whether he had a strategy to share coronavirus vaccines globally, Biden replied: ‘I have one, and I’ll be announcing it’.
