Glentoran let lead slip twice as they fall to defeat to Carrick Rangers
John Gregg felt decisions did not go Glentoran's way as they slipped to a 3-2 defeat at home to Carrick Rangers on Saturday.
Leading 2-1 going into the last 15 minutes the game was turned on its head for the hosts as defender Paddy McClean picked up a second yellow for handball which allow Danny Purkis to level things up for a second time from the resulting penalty. Curtis Allen nodded the visitors in front minutes later before Glens boss Warren Feeney was also dismissed for his protestations his side should have been awarded a penalty of their own after Junior went down in the box following a tussle with Cameron Stewart.First Team Coach Gregg, standing in for Feeney after the game, questioned some of the decisions by referee Lee Tavinder.
"I felt some of the decisions went against us," he said. "I don't like going down that route but we definitely didn't get some decisions today and some of them actually turned the game."I know it's a desperately hard job but I do feel there was a definite penalty at the other end when Junior was pulled down."There were a lot of free kicks which changed the momentum of the game in the second half."I just felt those little decisions went against us.
