The John Lewis Christmas ad this year has caused much divide in viewers after some were left unimpressed while others cried upon watching it.
In heartwarming scenes, Skye is introduced by Nathan to the novelties of Christmas including eating mince pies, decorating the tree with baubles and lights before she is somewhat confused by the concept of wearing garish festive jumpers. Like all John Lewis Christmas ads in the past, this one has stirred many strong opinions as some viewers were left unimpressed with it.
A third added: "Sorry, won't be buying anything from you guys this Christmas, you want woke," while a fourth chimed: "Dystopian woke nonsense - yeah must be @JohnLewisRetail".
