Jolly King Charles III proudly dons his kilt during special visit to Aberdeen KingCharlesIII
King Charles III looked to be in great spirits as he donned a kilt to greet scores of people waiting to catch a glimpse of him in Aberdeen.
He also donned a white shirt and green and red striped tie as he shook hands and chatted with members of the public who were clamouring behind barricades to greet him. Not seen with the King was his wife, Camilla, Queen Consort, 75, however she was recently seen attending the races at the Ascot race course looking fabulous in navy blue.
Buckingham Palace, which has long been the official residence of the Queen or King of England, is currently undergoing a huge restoration and repair job, said to be at a cost of £369 million, and works are not expected to be complete until 2027.
