The TV presenter shared the devastating news of his terminal lung cancer last year
Jonnie Irwin has been flooded with support after updating his fans on his 'mistake' amid his battle with terminal cancer. The TV presenter, who is best known for fronting Channel 4's A Place In The Sun and BBC's Escape to the Country, shared the devastating news that he had been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in November last year.
Taking to his Instagram on Tuesday , Jonnie told his followers that he had made a mistake on his return to work. Alongside a video and picture wearing a headset whilst recording in the BBC studio, Jonnie wrote: "Recorded the VO for the two short films we made for @bbcmorninglive." The update comes after the TV presenter revealed he had been suffering with a chest infection. The TV star told fans last week: "Hitting my chest infection from all sides; antibiotics 2 hours this morning in my @o2worx hyperbaric chamber and now down at @sereniti_health breathing deeply in the Salt Room.
On his recent post, fans took to the comment section to send messages of support to the presenter after he had seemingly overcome his chest infection on his return to the studio. One follower @rickpozzilli wrote: "The fact you got and smashed the chest infection, proves how strong & resilient you are my friend !! Brilliant news."
