Jordan Henderson was booed by England fans against Australia on Friday night
Former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson expressed his pride at captaining England despite being subjected to boos.
The midfielder left Liverpool in the summer for Saudi Arabia in a controversial move that reunited him with Steve Gerrard, whom he succeeded as captain, at Saudi Pro League side Al Ettifaq. In September, Henderson spoke out for the first time in an interview with The Athletic on his move to the kingdom, where he described his "hurt" by the criticism.
