Jose Cifuentes was supposed to be the last piece of Michael Beale's jigsaw as he reshaped the Rangers team during the summer.
“The reason Cifuentes didn’t play at the weekend was because he didn’t arrive back until the Friday morning from South America. So he’s ready to go. “The domestic games are a little bit more different than the European games for him, so let’s see. He is clearly a talented player and the more he plays, the more people will be aware of that. He is a player we brought in with high hopes for and this gives him an opportunity to have a run in the team now.”
"I take a lot more from their games against Villarreal and Atletico Madrid in the weeks previous, when they put in strong performances. He is a lot older than myself, he’s much more experienced and he’s worked at some of the biggest clubs in the world. “In both games I felt we could have scored more so it’s important that we take the game to Betis as much as we can.
