The former Celtic winger can't play for Al ittihad so a loan switch to Istanbul may be his best option.
After seeing a move to Steven Gerrard's Al-Ettifaq fall through, Jota is set to be handed an Al Ittihad escape route by Fenerbahce.
Gerrard's attempt to take Jota on loan came too late in the day and the Saudi window closed before a deal could be finalised. But the window remains open in Turkey and IttiMania claim that the Istanbul outfit are set to get the 24-year-old out of Saudi and into their squad, which would at least give him the prospect of getting on the pitch before January.
