The winger has endured a nightmare season and has been frozen out of the first-team squad.
Al-Ittihad outcast Jota will reportedly be given a way out of his Saudi nightmare by former Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou - with Tottenham ready to submit a loan offer.
The Portuguese lifted two Scottish Premiership titles while working under Postecoglou and lifted the Treble last term before the Australian made his move to the English Premier League. The 24-year-old would also leave Celtic Park but the mega-money £25million switch has not went as well as Postecoglou's transition to the English top flight - with the winger almost immediately frozen out of the first-team picture to meet Saudi Pro League rules.
He managed just five appearances and one goal before he was cut from the squad list - with only eight foreign players allowed per squad in the Pro League. This has left the wide man unable to get minutes in the league and hoping for minutes in the AFC Champions League or Club World Cup. Fichajes claim that Tottenham are now preparing a loan offer that will kickstart Jota's career in the Premier League. However, reports in the Middle East suggest a deal will not be straight forward. Saudi outlet HiHi claim that club management is "considering" bring the winger back into the Pro League squad when the winter window opens.
That could close the door on any potential reunion with Postecoglou. It would appear Jota is keen on a January departure having urged his agent to negotiate a release from his deal previously.
