The former Parkhead winger looks to be on the way out of the Saudi Pro League side after just a month.
The storm inside Al Ittihad has taken another twist as former Celtic hero Jota heads for the exit door - with superstar Karim Benzema reportedly locked in a feud with boss Nuno Espirito Santo.
The Celtic Treble winner joined Benzema, N'Golo Kante and Thiago in Jeddah earlier this summer, but with an influx of foreign talent set to continue the Portuguese star is set to be moved on to allow the Suadi champions to ramp up their pursuit of Mo Salah. League rules only allow eight foreign players per squad - with reports suggesting Jota could be loaned out to a fellow Pro League side or released.
