Just Stop Oil target British Open golf championship as woman equipped with paint escorted off green
A woman was escorted off the 17th hole by security on Friday after an attempt to protest at the Open.
Posting online, the group have claimed three protesters disrupted the event with orange powder and a smoke flare. "Three Just Stop Oil Supporters have disrupted The British Open - they demand that the UK government halts all new oil and gas projects."Us golfer Billy Horschel was cheered by onlookers as he passed one of the protesters over to the security guards at the event.
The Open is taking place at the Royal Liverpool course, where the incident happened at around 12:20pm on Friday.
