Dick has a case as the best shooter in the class. He’s a teenager who drilled 40.3 percent from 3 in the Big 12 this season while averaging 14 points and taking nearly six 3s per game.But there is a bit more to Dick’s game than meets the eye. He is smart at using the threat of his shot to drive and cut to the rim, and he’s a sharp processor of the game. He finishes at the rim and has plus positional size for his role.
It’s hard to find a guy with such a pure jump shot as Dick who also happens to be 6-foot-8. Dick was one of the best freshmen to come through Bill Self’s program at Kansas. Self labeled him as one of the best shooters he’s ever coached from the jump, but he showed he had more to his game than just the shot. He can put the ball on the floor and finishes well around the basket, using his length for long finishes with either hand.
