The arrest came hours after the University of Kansas Police Department responded to a bomb threat against theThe booking report states Krause was arrested by the university police on Alabama Street, less than a mile from Kansas’ Anderson Family Football Complex and David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium. The complaint said Krause was arrested for communicating “a threat to commit violence” toward Kansas football facilities, which were evacuated. Police said the facilities were safe around 8 p.m.
The University of Kansas Police Department has not confirmed Krause was the individual who made the bomb threat. “We are aware of a situation involving one of our student-athletes. We take the safety of our staff, student-athletes and coaches very seriously,” Kansas Athletics said in a statement toKrause is a redshirt sophomore walk-on from Prairie Village, Kan.
