The family of a Hertfordshire surgeon, who was shot in the head and killed in South Africa, has called for justice after no arrests have been made.
Unrest on the outskirts of South Africa’s second-largest city had just begun, after minibus taxi drivers announced a week-long strike. "It is a testament to his character and achievements that he was able to touch the lives of so many people. "Kar Hao’s career and life was nothing short of inspiring. He was a trailblazer in every sense of the word," they said in a statement released by the Foreign Office.
