The former SNP leadership contender told an Edinburgh Fringe show that Jesus could return at any time - but another referendum on Scottish independence would 'take a bit more work'.
Kate Forbes has said the Second Coming of Jesus could happen sooner than a second referendum on Scottish independence.
She came under fire for her views on gay marriage and having children outside of wedlock during the SNP leadership contest earlier this year. She went on: “I think they both have an equal likelihood of happening, but I think probably the Second Coming could happen at literally any time - in the next hour.She did not say which was more desirable.
When asked last week about running for leader in the future, she said "never say never". She added in another interview that it was high time "we had a Highlander and the helm".
