Carole and Michael Middleton's business Party Pieces went into administration last year, owing creditors £2.6million
Kate Middleton's parents, Carole and Michael, are reportedly unable to pay the £260,000 fees owed to the insolvency firm following the collapse of their family business, Party Pieces.
Interpath Advisory was brought in to manage the insolvency, but is now reportedly struggling to recoup all costs. It is believed the insolvency process involved longer hours than expected to meet statutory requirements and queries from creditors.The firm received fees of £51,437 and is expected to recoup more in the future. But it reportedly will not be able to cover the total amount of expenses incurred, the Mirror reports.
The firm moved to a farm buildings at Ashampstead Common, Berkshire, in 1995. It was once so successful that cash generated helped to send Princess Kate, sister Pippa and brother James, to the prestigious Marlborough College - a boarding school in Wiltshire.
