Prince William and Kate Middleton have been spotted out at their first royal engagement following William’s 40th birthday
, which the Royal celebrated yesterday, Tuesday 21 June.
After visiting Waterloo, the Royal couple went to ELEVATE at Brixton House in London to meet with younger generations of the British-Caribbean community, and other diasporas, who represent the next generation of British creative talent, to mark Windrush Day.With today, June 22, marking Windrush Day, The Government provided £1 million in funding for the new Waterloo station memorial.
Waterloo station was chosen because thousands of people who arrived from the Caribbean passed through the station on their way to start their new lives across the country, the Government said. Next year will mark a milestone 75 years since the arrival of HMT Empire Windrush at Tilbury docks in 1948.It’s unclear what the father-of-three did for his special day, but it’s expected that the Queen will host a birthday bash for him and wife Kate, who turned 40 in January, over the summer.
