Katie is revisiting a much-loved pair of velcro-strap trainers.
Katie’s kicks are another cult purchase courtesy of Acne Studios. For an outing in New York, Katie kept cosy in a colourful trophy knit, comfy burgundy trousers, a coat from Nanushka and her playful trainers. In place of her usual cotton grocery totes: a bright red shopper bag from Blick Art Materials.Back in January 2021, Katie was styling the trainers with the other wintry staples in her wardrobe.
The Manhattanite isn’t the first to endorse Acne’s alt trainers. While the brand’s chunky dad trainers were a hit several seasons ago, its strappy Normcore styles are a forever favourite among the A-list. Hailey Bieber has been wearing the childish Steffey sneakers since 2019, while Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner was pictured in a pair in Portofino last year.
