King Charles has travelled to Highgrove estate
Following the tragic death of Queen Elizabeth II, King Charles has not only been navigating the personal grief of losing his beloved mother, but he has also been busy transitioning into his new role as monarch.
A week on since his mother’s death, Charles has headed to Highgrove House in Gloucestershire where he will have a “private day of reflection”. After tying the knot to the late Princess Diana in 1981, the couple spent much of their time at the country home throughout Prince William and Harry’s younger years.
Inside, the sprawling property features nine bedrooms and six bathrooms and pictures of the home have demonstrated its elegant décor.With interiors designed by Robert Kime, who also helped to decorate Clarence House, Highgrove House boasts off-white walls, ornate paintings and lots of leafy green plants.
