Kobbie Mainoo, who has been out with an ankle injury since July, has returned to the Manchester United squad for the Manchester derby against Manchester City. Mainoo made his first appearance of the season in the UEFA Youth League defeat against FC Copenhagen and is now included in the squad for the derby. His inclusion may be in place of Casemiro, who was not seen entering Old Trafford this morning.

Kobbie Mainoo has arrived at Old Trafford as part of the Manchester United squad for the first time this season as they host Manchester City.

Following a lengthy spell on the sidelines, Mainoo returned to training at the start of October and got his first minutes back on the pitch during United under-19s UEFA Youth League defeat against FC Copenhagen on Tuesday. The 18-year-old played 45 minutes before a pre-planned substitution.ALSO READ: United gameplan could rely on two summer signings vs City
