Vincent Kompany described as 'beautiful girl' in bizarre analogy which might give Tottenham hope
Pace, who was proved to have made a genius decision by hiring Kompany, was honest when discussing how long the former defender might stay.
“It’s not a worry for me that I’m ever going to fire him because that’s a different story,” he told BBC Sport. “My worry is like I explained to him, It’s like dating the most beautiful girl in town and knowing that there’s probably no chance she’s ever going to marry you. “But, everyone else wants to marry her.
