Nicola Jackson-Jones was highly commended for her pizza-making skills for a top industry award in 2021, but this year she has gone one better. The Ormskirk-based chef, who is mainly self-taught, has been crowned the Pizza Chef of the Year at the Pizza, Pasta & Italian Food Industry Awards.

Nicola's pizzas proved so popular, she would regularly sell-out and recent stints at the historic West Lancs market town's Moor Street Night Market saw huge crowds keen to taste what all the fuss is about. Nicola, who has two children, revealed she was recently asked to join one of Marco's pizza-making classes to "lend a hand", something she describes as a "full circle moment".
