Most services from Lancashire County Council will be closed on Monday, 19th September to mark the state funeral of Her Majesty The Queen.
All the county’s libraries, museums, Lancashire archives and council offices, including the customer access centre will be closed, as usual on a bank holiday and household waste recycling centres will also be closed.
Public transport and bus stations will operate to bank holiday schedules. Please check the operator’s timetables for details. Birth registration and notice of marriage appointments will be moved unless the customer wants the registration or notice appointment to go ahead on that day. The county council will register deaths if it would mean the family otherwise having to wait. People are advised to contact their local register office for further details.
