Reports of large numbers of police after Lincoln shop theft last night
Residents reported a large number of police in the Ermine East area of Lincoln following a shop theft last night.
Police were called to Lincolnshire Co-op store on Woodhall Drive at around 9.30pm on Monday, July 10.An eyewitness named Tyler said: “There were lots of police at the ermine east Co-op. I was going in there, then got stopped."When we went back into the shop, the police were in the back room near the tills."
A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “A 42-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop. The man was arrested nearby.According to a post on social media, nearby Browning Drive was sealed off and armed police were present. Residents reported not being allowed outside.
