Leah McCourt takes on Sara McMann at Bellator 300 in San Diego this weekend
Leah McCourt insists she is ready to bring her A-game to the Pechanga Arena in San Diego on Saturday night.
McCourt is coming off the back of a defeat against Cat Zingano last time out, a fighter who takes on champion Cris Cyborg on the same card in California. The prospect of challenging either Cyborg or Zingano next is a huge incentive for McCourt as she prepares for her cage return."She is very experienced and she has been in there and fought everyone around, so she has a solid game and it should prove to be a very exciting fight.
"Now I am in a position to fight Sarah McMann knowing a win will give me a title shot. I have been told I will be fighting for the title if I get a win on Saturday night, so all my focus is on that.Reflecting on the loss, which was her second defeat in three fights, McCourt said: "I don't dwell on things for too long. I am experienced and have been around for a long time.
Cyborg is 1/6 to defend her title, but McCourt believes Zingano has a fighting chance of upsetting the odds.
