There will be upgrades to the shops, eateries, lounges, and promised faster security
£100million is being spent to transform the terminal building. It comes after plans for a makeover were aborted in 2022 due to planning delays.
There will be improved access for passengers with restricted mobility, and environmentally friendly changes. Work will also include the creation of additional aircraft stands, more seating, and faster security. The makeover is expected to be completed by 2026. Farrans Construction has been appointed as the construction company to complete the first phase of the project.
