The community have pulled together to offer support to the victim who is now at home recovering from the traumatic ordeal
A group of locals in Belle Isle say they are rallying round to support the victim of a 'bloodbath' attack that happened right on their doorstep.
Video circulating on social media appears to show the fight between the two men involved from the shop's CCTV, resulting in one of them falling on the ground spread-eagled. Then it appears to show the other man taking his T-shirt off and moving the other man and using his phone to either take pictures or film him.
The victim has been named by residents as Stephen Hall and was described by some as "a vulnerable man who wouldn't hurt a fly." Stephen is now recovering at home and is said to have sustained "a broken nose, three broken ribs and cuts to his face" in the attack. She said: "Stephen is very very timid, he wouldn't hurt a fly, he hasn't got a bad bone in his body, everybody around here loves him.
"I started the Go Fund Me because I just want him to know he has got a good community around him and we're all here for him. He's never had a lot of friends so I want him to know how many people are behind him right now. We get slagged off for a lot of things, but when one of ours is in need, we all pull together and help each other out.
Michele wrote on the fundraiser: "I'm sure most of you have seen the heartbreaking videos and heard about the brutal attack on Stephen early hours on Saturday morning.
