It will open in the summer.
Boss Malcolm Leary, 54, has spoken about the exciting plans and has revealed the ideal opening date. He’s currently in discussions with the owner of Wakefield Ridings Shopping Centre with ambitions to open a unit there in the summer.
“Kieran is well known in Wakefield and it seems like an obvious opportunity to put him in his own unit to look after on his own doorstep. When we opened in Kirkgate Market in 1993, nobody knew us and we pushed ourselves and we got ourselves where we needed to be. If it means small steps then we’ll do small steps.”
Pal Danny recently held a meet-and-greet event at the Ridings Shopping Centre which went down really well. Malcolm divulged that he’d be looking to acquire a 10-year lease on the unit which would come with an initial 12 months rent free guarantee.
