Leeds United are closing in on a number of deals ahead of transfer deadline day
Leeds United will be breathing a big sigh of relief after an injury to Ao Tanaka looked like it could threaten a proposed deal that takes the midfielder to Elland Road. The Whites have been heavily linked with the Japanese international, with increasing expectation a deal for the Fortuna Dusseldorf player is on the cards before transfer deadline day, with just a medical to arrange before contracts can be signed.
However, Tanaka's club have moved swiftly to let Leeds and any other potential suitors know that there is no worries with the player and he will be back in training tomorrow. The club said: "After shock, chaos and worry, I have the all-clear for you. Ao #Tanaka can return to team training tomorrow after his collision in training today. There is no structural injury."
