Residents have previously contacted the ECHO over the long-running closure of part of Bootle Leisure Centre due to problems with its roof. The upstairs sports hall was closed in 2020 on health and safety grounds and remained closed once leisure centres reopened after lockdown.
“Tender documentation is currently being finalised to identify a contractor to carry out a full roof replacement. The Sefton Council spokesperson said: “This is a much needed investment to help preserve and future proof Bootle Leisure Centre.
