Ben Doak is enjoying life at Anfield after an impressive pre-season with the senior side
Ben Doak admits he's living the dream at Liverpool and is happy to wait for further first-team opportunities as he relishes the prospect of learning from Mohamed Salah and Co.
During that time Doak has made his Premier League debut, as well as penning his first professional contract with the club just days after his 17th birthday last November. In August, he scored his first goal for the club during the 4-0 defeat of Leicester City in Singapore. “I hit the ground running in pre-season and I have kept training with the Liverpool first team Obviously, although you do need games in your career, but you don’t really need matches at Liverpool when you are training every day with players like them because you are going to get better regardless," Doak told the Daily Record. “I am working with some of the best players in the world at the club. My aim is just to try and get as many minutes as I can.
Despite loan interest from elsewhere, Doak's impressive performances of late are set to land him a string of starting berths when Liverpool begin their Europa League and League Cup campaigns later this month.
