A select committee has questioned the 'unusual and unacceptable' way in which Gupta companies were run, but a spokesman for the tycoon's business alliance said the report failed to acknowledge his roles in saving jobs in the steel industry.
"We met with hard-working and dedicated workers at Liberty Steel and want to ensure that the UK steel sector is able to continue to support their jobs," he said.
