People living on a road in Nottingham with a summery name which 'will make people smile' say they can't wait for the warmer months ahead. As summer quickly approaches, longer days with higher temperatures means people across the city will be excited to soak up the rays
Bakersfield is a small residential suburb, it’s home to independent businesses such as Navarra, an Italian shop, a medical centre, schools, a church and more. With Colwick park nearby too the area is ‘nice and quiet.’Ben Crawford, 33 lives on Sunnydale Road. The taxi driver said: “It’s a quiet area, I’ve never really thought much about the road’s name but I guess it will make people smile if they’re not from around here.
Other summery road names in Nottingham includes: Sunny Row in Wollaton, Flowers Close in Arnold, Sunrise Avenue in Basford and Sunbourne Court in Radford. The average house price for Sunnydale Road, according to Rightmove last year was £250,0000. Ivan, 88 said: “Sunnydale has some nice houses, Bakersfield is alright. I go to the Tesco Express down the road and there used to be a bookies in the area too near Oakdale.”
