Staff and residents will also receive CPR training.
The device, which is used to help a person suffering a cardiac arrest, is now up and running at Hawthorn Housing Cooperative in Possilpark after being handed over by first aid charity St Andrew's.
They are designed to deliver clear instructions and would never shock someone unless they require it.
