Meet Matt Vaughan, the new Deputy Principal at Lincoln College Group! 🎓👏
Matt Vaughan, an experienced educator with over three decades of experience, has joined the Lincoln College Group as Deputy Principal. He will be responsible for overseeing the curriculum at Lincoln and Newark Colleges, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role.
Vaughan has transitioned from West Notts College, where he served as Vice Principal. His extensive career in education includes senior leadership roles, providing quality and curriculum consultancy to further education colleges across the UK, and significant experience as a senior Ofsted inspector and lead in Children and Young People’s Services for a local authority.
Speaking about his new role, Vaughan expressed his excitement, stating,"This is a hugely exciting role at a college that adds so much value to communities in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire." He emphasised his commitment to achieving the Group's purpose of working with employers to shape a curriculum that produces highly skilled and productive people.
Vaughan is keen to spend time getting to know the teachers, students, and staff at the colleges and to engage with employers to inform the Group's priorities. He said,"I pride myself on getting to really know the dynamics and fully supporting teachers and colleagues in the classrooms and workshops." Looking ahead, Vaughan is eager to put exciting plans in place to welcome the new intake in September. His appointment marks a new chapter in the Lincoln College Group's leadership, one that promises to bring fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to the forefront.
