Linfield are investigating an incident during their Irish Premiership match against Loughgall at Windsor Park on Saturday in which a visiting player was allegedly racially abused.
It has been reported that Loughgall's Pablo Andrade received abuse from a Blues supporter after he scored to equalise for The Villagers.Linfield said they are treating the matter seriously."We do not tolerate racism and have never had racism at Linfield before. "We have a very good relationship with Loughgall and will be working with them to look into the incident."
It is understood that one of Andrade's team-mates informed the referee's assistant about the alleged abuse from the South Stand and that it was then reported to referee Steven Gregg.In a statement issued to the BBC, Loughgall said: "Following our game with Linfield FC on Saturday, there are reports of an alleged incident involving unacceptable comments possibly being made to one of our players.
"We are pleased at Linfield's cooperation and are content to allow Linfield FC and the match officials address the matter. We have no further comment to make at this time."Top Stories
