Previous reports confirmed that West Ham were considering whether to offer Lingard a contract after he was released by the Reds this summer. The 30-year-old reportedly featured in a friendly for the Hammers during the international break.
Lingard struggled to impress during his time at the City Ground after arriving on a free transfer last summer. And it has now been confirmed by Al-Ettifaq that Lingard will be training with them for a month. The club are managed by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard with England international Jordan Henderson also part of their squad. Lingard hinted that he would be on his way to the Middle East after posting a picture on his Instagram stories showing him on a flight from Manchester to Dubai.
